The overall construction of the wheel is
designed to maintain stability and accuracy throughout
variations of temperature and humidity. This is achieved
by using MDF, a man made material more stable than wood,
cut into continuous rings without any radial joints. This
is particularly important in the ball track area. The
entire wheel is mounted in a lathe to ensure all diameters
are concentric and square to the bearing axis.
Ball Track made from a single, joint free
ring of aluminum to maintain accuracy and eliminate wear.
The ball track is machined in situ to guarantee
concentricity with precise engineering tolerances.
